A farm in Devon, has seen the strangest of ‘best friend’ combination; the miniature pig (William) and a giant lop-ear rabbit (Charles).
Wililam is taking more initiative in their friendship by actively pursuing the companionship of Charles. The rabbit however does not seem to mind when the pig gobbles its food.
A pig survived in May’s 7.9 magnitude Sichuan earthquake after being trapped for 36 days. It survived on charcoal and rainwater. The miracle pig was named as “Zhu Jianqiang” (means “Strong Pig”) after being bought by a local businessman. Its miracle survival attracts visitors all over as its survival illustrates the spirit of never giving up no matter how harsh the situation is. However its popularity led itself to the wrong path, from never give up to lazy, fat and bad-tempered. The used to be friendly pig become spoiled, and getting fed up with visitors. The staff could not make the pig go out for walking as it is too lazy and fat.
