Two huge reptiles were fighting each other and died in the Everglades National Park.  An alligator at Burma got into a battle with non-native Burmese python.  The python then swallowed the alligator but then its gut was ruptured.  The tail and hind limbs of the dead alligator were protruding from the stomach of the dead python.  It was believed that pythons were initially abandoned by pet owners and then their population boomed in the large swamp.

Baby’s Leg Coiled by Snake

Posted by Animal King under Snakes

non-venomous california snakeAn one-foot-long California king snake was found coiling a baby’s leg in Brentwood. California king is non-venomous snake. It is often kept as pet. Cari Abatemarco of upstate Troy was visiting her family on Long Island. Her baby’s cries woke her up in the middle of the night. She was shocked when she saw a snake wrapped her baby’s crib. The snake fell off as soon as Abatemarco lifted her daughter. The reptile was then removed by a relative of Abatemarco. The snake was placed in a bucket until animal control officers arrived. Currently this snake, which is not indigenous to the region, is temporarily kept in a Long Island animal shelter.
